Central Alabama Golf Association

Welcome to the Central Alabama Golf Association (CAGA) website.

What a difference a day makes!  We had 59 players Tuesday for a relatively normal tournament at Aroostook GC. We played again Thursday at Stillwaters GC and you'd  it was a PGA qualifier! Two aces (JD Davis and Bob Moses) worth $50 each plus six eagles ($10 each), which are listed on the results pages! Great job everyone. We're approaching the halfway point of the year. My how time flies when  you're having fun.

Reminder: When making t-times, be sure to specify that you are playing in the CAGA Dogfight. Notify me as soon as possible at [email protected] if you encounter a problem and I'll try to fix it.

Also, please check dress codes particularly at the private clubs. Blue jeans are a definite no-no at many courses. Arrowhead in particular strictly enforces the "no blue jeans" rule. Also, collared shirts are required at most all of our courses. The dress code is posted on most club's website.

This is your association. Please continue to help make it better by submitting your ideas. Everything will be considered. Help us spread the word, and bring your playing partners to future CAGA dogfights. Anyone with questions can contact the CAGA Administrator at [email protected]

The Central Alabama Golf Association currently consists of the following participating clubs: Arrowhead CC, Cottonwood GC, Cypress Tree GC, Indian Pines GC, Lagoon Park GC, Oak Mountain State Park, Robert Trent Jones (RTJ) Capitol Hill, RTJ Grand National, RTJ Cambrian Ridge, Selma CC, Stillwaters GC, Troy CC, Timberline GC and Wynlakes CC. We are in discussion with several other prestigious Central Alabama courses that have expressed interest in hosting CAGA events. Let us know if your club is interested in talking to us and I'll contact them.

All golfers over the age of 21 are welcome, male and female. You can play with your group or we will pair you with other CAGA members.

Our annual registration dues are $20. The $32 per event includes a $2 tournament fee, $4 prize fund, and $26 for cart and green fees. Several of the upper-tier courses have increased the fee for 2022 to $35.

The format will be based on the 54-point Dogfight System.
